Founded in 2025 by Ben Stone, Stone Strategies is a national arts, culture, and planning strategy consulting firm. We work with public agencies, nonprofits, and the private sector to drive place-based equitable change through arts, culture and design. Our work often finds us incorporating artists and designers into planning and community development projects, and/or sharing community development best practices with artists and arts organizations; we’re most comfortable at the intersection of creativity, planning, and strategizing about the future.

We’ve supported projects in all 50 states and we’ve worked in cities as large as New York and Los Angeles and as small as Eastport, Maine (1,288) and Lakeville, Indiana (786). We approach each place with a fresh perspective and respect for unique culture, while also bringing countless lessons from peer communities learned through decades of national experience.
